Overview

This document is dedicated to the Browsing API within the search module, designed to enhance search results and collection pages with dynamic filters and facets. This feature enables users to refine their search and browsing experiences by applying various filters, such as category, price range, brand, and other attributes, facilitating a more targeted and efficient product discovery process.

Use case

The Browse feature allows users to effortlessly explore products within a specific category. The users can use the filter bar to narrow down their search based on product attributes and preferences. By applying filters such as price range, size, color, or brand, users can quickly browse through a relevant list of products tailored to their needs. The Browse feature provides a seamless and intuitive way to navigate and discover products without inputting keywords.

Example

In the sample request outlined below, we browsed a pair of trousers and included specific filters, ensuring that only trousers with the fitted fit, and vintage style are included. Additionally, we specified filters to exclude certain results, like items tagged as "outlet" and "27/12/2023" or categorized as "jersey" should be excluded. Finally, the sorting is set to arrange the results in descending order based on the item's relevance.
