Preparation: create credentials on Bloomreach
Step 1: Create a new API group for AfterShip
👉Entrance: Settings >>Project settings >> Access management>>API
Notice: The API group should be Public access
Step 2: Configure permission for the API group
- Customer properties: Select “set” for the New properties, and if you have
emailproperty in your account, please select “set” as well. - Event: Select “set” for the New events.
Step 3: Collect the info required for AfterShip
- Project token: Navigate to Settings >>Project settings >> Access management>>API, you can find
Project token - API Base URL:Navigate to Settings >>Project settings >> Access management>>API, you can find
API Base URL - API token: Select the API groups you created for AfterShip, and copy the
API token - Hard ID: Hard ID is one of the type of customer ID on Bloomreach, it is usually named “registered” by default, but sometimes it may customize by yourself. You can navigate to Customers to check it.
Use case
- Automated sync of shipment events
AfterShip sends nine pre-defined shipment events to Bloomreach in real time, enabling seamless data flow and engagement.
- Trigger email campaigns based on shipment events
Brands can use AfterShip-triggered events to schedule Bloomreach campaigns that notify customers about delivery updates or exceptions.
- Insert event properties as personalization tags
Dynamic tags populate order- and customer-specific information in your email templates, allowing for a highly personalized messaging experience.
