Tracking History

Tracking history is the scan history of the package. It gives a customer an insight into the various checkpoints where their package was scanned. Carriers allow customers to view tracking history for a couple of weeks after a package is delivered for free, then require a small fee to extend access to it.

Having your tracking history at hand provides several benefits. For instance, you can see which checkpoints received and shipped your package quickly and which ones caused a shipping delay. Share this information with the company you buy from so they can identify couriers offering the best shipping route for your destination.

Sellers may also want to see tracking history to ensure there are no delivery exceptions. For instance, if the history shows that a certain checkout has a long customs process, the seller can request their logistics partner to use another route or expedite their shipment in order to improve the post-purchase customer experience.
