It serves as an interface between different software programs and facilitates their interaction, similar to the way the user interface facilitates interaction between humans and computers.
It stands for Application Programming Interface.
With our AfterShip API, you can perform certain actions like:

- create, update trackings and get tracking results
- get tracking information of the last checkpoint of a tracking
- get, add or remove contacts (SMS / email) to be notified when the status of a tracking has changed
