TikTok Creator Fund

What is TikTok Creator Fund?

The TikTok Creator Fund is an established fund designed to recognize and compensate creators for their exceptional TikTok videos. It serves as a celebration of TikTok creators' dedication, ingenuity, and spirit.

Launched in July 2020 with a budget of $70 million, this official fund provides support and rewards to eligible creators based on specific criteria. Instead of relying on an ad-revenue-sharing program, TikTok introduced the Creator Fund as an alternative means for content creators to earn money and fuel their motivation to create.

How to join TikTok Creator Fund?

To join the Creator Fund on TikTok, you need to meet specific eligibility requirements. TikTok is transparent about these requirements and provides clear steps to follow.

  • Ensure you meet the eligibility requirements:

    • Have at least 10,000 followers on your TikTok account.
    • Accumulate at least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
    • Maintain a good standing by adhering to TikTok's community guidelines and best practices.
    • Publish original content that is not cross-posted or repurposed from other platforms.
    • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Check if you meet the requirements by attempting to join TikTok's "Creator Next" monetization program. The platform will inform you of the criteria you've met and those you haven't.

  • If you meet the requirements, log into your TikTok account and access your account settings.

  • Under "Creator Tools," locate the "Creator Fund" option and apply for it within the TikTok app.

How much can creators earn from it?

The TikTok Creator Fund does not have fixed payment rates, but creators typically earn between 2 to 4 cents per 1,000 genuine views. It is against the rules to ask friends and family to artificially increase views.

Payment amounts vary for each creator, ranging from $0.50 to $1 per view and $0.05 to $0.10 per view. However, it's worth noting that high-viewed videos may not necessarily result in significant earnings.

The purpose of the fund is to encourage creators to continue producing content and, with consistent success, potentially reach millions of views. Creators can withdraw their payout through platforms like Paypal or Zelle once they accumulate at least $10 in earnings.
