Tracking status represents the stage of a shipment journey a customer’s package is in. Each time your package is scanned, the courier updates your tracking status. Additionally, couriers share checkpoint messages that provide further information on shipments.
Couriers use different tracking statuses to keep customers informed about their shipments. Here’s what those statues mean:
Information Received
The courier has received the shipment details and is about to pick up the package.
In Transit
The shipment has been accepted and is on its way to its final destination.
Out for Delivery
The courier’s representative is on his way to deliver the package.
Failed Attempt
The carrier attempted to deliver the package but failed. They usually leave a notice and will try to deliver again.
Delivered
The package has been delivered successfully.
Available for Pickup
The package has arrived at the nearest courier facility and is available for pickup.
Pending
The shipment is pending as the carrier didn’t return the tracking info.
Expired
The shipment has expired as the carrier didn’t return the tracking info for the last 30 days.
Exception
The shipment was held at customs, returned to sender, undelivered, or faced any other exception.
